Not everyone (and we’ll include ourselves in that group), however, is such a fan of the new Start Menu system. If so this tutorial certainly isn’t for you and it’s great that the new layout doesn’t bother you or fill you fits of nostalgia for the GUIs of yesteryear. Perhaps the tile-based Metro UI system doesn’t irritate you and you don’t have a problem with the removal of the traditional Start Menu styling. Its appearance isn't quite capable of mimicking the system, and it ultimately gives the impression that it lacks a final polishing step.Maybe you love the Windows 10 Start Menu, which is essentially an extension and revision of the Windows 8 Start Menu. Start Menu 10 comes with several different styles, but they are not that different. From the shutdown icon, not only you can sleep, shut down, restart, log off, etc., but also schedule your computer to do this after a set number of minutes. It includes 17 designs, some of them really curious, like the bird and the pig from Angry Birds, Apple's logo, or Ubuntu's logo.Īn additional interesting, and somewhat hidden function you find in Start Menu 10 is its shutdown timer.
